I borrowed this book from the library but was reluctant to read it because not only am I not a foodie, but I barely even know how to cook. Maybe the only reason why it appealed to me was because it takes place in New York City. Either way, I'm glad I read it. This book somehow managed to be suspenseful, which I was not suspecting. This is the perfect book for anyone who has a dream, or wants to have one.

This behind the scenes look into a new restaurant's (Huertas) first year of life in the high pressure world of NYC dining is equal parts food and business (specifically entrepreneurship) book. Reminded me of Sweetbitter minus the drugs and sex.
rotating every few chapters between The Mothers, Generation Chef, and The Secret History of the Pink Carnation. luxury or do I am I just easily distracted?
