Next up in my påskekrim reading: Contemporary Scottish crime. Not sure if these are police procedurals, or more psychological like my previous read. Coincidentally both were recommended by my mother.
This is a great bargain in the U.K. One of my favourite trilogies for 99p for all 3 books!

pickExcellent descriptions of the harsh realities of island life and the natural world in these three mysteries. The first was full of suspense and anxiety for the main character and the second kept me turning the pages to find out why the murder happened. The third was the weakest - not consistent with the first - and the dual time line, which worked well in the earlier two books was just confusing here. A pick but only just.

pickScottish author Peter May is an accomplished writer. He covers Jimmy Perez in the Highlands, Enzo in French Crime challenges and a third series based in China. Brilliant reads all.
