Great palette cleanser for my reading slump.
A very honest book about motherhood, without the sunshine and rainbows. A very good book for any mother.

Just pulled this one off my shelf to read next. Not a mother - by choice. Not sure what drew me to this book except that right now, I am going through a phase of wanting to read about life experiences I haven‘t/will never have. I find it interesting as I have no point of comparison.
Second book of 2020. Looking forward to a lighter read after reading a few heavy reads recently.
1. The Unmumsy Mum
2. Tomorrow I‘ll be shopping for Birthday presents for my mum and mainly just relaxing.
3. Hmm think I would have to go for Chocolate ice cream.
4. I can‘t play any instruments but I‘d love to be able to play the piano.

The Unmumsy Mum writes candidly about motherhood like it really is: the messy, maddening, hilarious reality, how there is no ‘one size fits all‘ approach and how it is sometimes absolutely fine to not know what you are doing.

Brilliant and hilarious insight into parenthood! Made me laugh and cry in equal measure! Fab holiday read 😍 #unmumsymum #truestory #hilarious #2018books
"Mums are defensive creatures. We feel the need to explain why we do things.". ......so much #truth
Reading a book I've wanted for a while and got for Christmas, trying not to laugh too loudly in the lunch room.
I liked this book - lots of funny relatable parenting moments but while I like her blog posts, Instagram etc, reading all the posts in one go was a bit much, especially as I was often interrupted by my own little people!!
My next read... am guessing there'll be a lot of nodding in agreement with what she has to say!!
