Finished this one last night and I really enjoyed it. It took me over a week to read which is odd for a little book, but I loved the main character, Mordecai Tremain, what a name! I‘m tempted to find out whether there are more books with him in, but I need to get my the pile down a bit more before I do!!

It turns out I know exactly how to be happy - I had the MOST AMAZING 40th birthday party at the weekend. So brilliant that I am still glowing with love for all my amazing friends who came and danced their socks off!!! I‘ll still read this book though as I think it‘s going to be quite sweet and touching, but mostly, yay to parties and mates!!!

Just finished this gem! I have loved the series and am hoping the ending of this one means we‘re headed for number 5!! The use of pictures is so clever and in many cases, super creepy. The time loops and peculiar abilities are so fascinating - it would be super cool if they were real. I also always wished they would have made more films as I thought the first one was great.

This was a quick and easy read about a blended family Christmas with plenty of cringey moments. I like stories that start at the end and fill in the gaps as you go along, and while this was pretty good with honest characters who were flawed and not always nice, I think it was just okay rather than great

This book wasn‘t what I expected - I thought I was going to get a detective/murder mystery kind of story, but it was better! A ghost narrating what led to her death... what a great story!! The bad guy was a really bad guy, the secondary characters were so well drawn, the ending was really positive. I enjoyed this so much.

BookwormM Stacked sounds sort of like the Lovely Bones which I loved 1mo

Finished this last night and while I‘m glad to have read it as I‘ve heard so many people talking about it, it wasn‘t an easy read. The family are so damaged by their dad‘s rule, and Tara‘s abuse at her brother‘s hands, made this a read I was glad to finish. It‘ll make for a great book group chat, but I don‘t think I‘ll recommend it to anyone. What did everyone else make of it?

MicheleinPhilly I‘ve only read about 25% of it. I put it down because I just wasn‘t in the right head space to read about such misery. 1mo
Laru79 Yeah @MicheleinPhilly I kind of raced through it so I could get past the misery. I wouldn‘t go back to it if I were you. I need to read something really happy and romantic now to get the balance back!! 1mo
MicheleinPhilly It‘s strange because I can read all about serial killers and psychopaths but this was just really bugging me. Maybe because they‘re all fictional characters. I recommend 1mo
Laru79 Yes I think sometimes things are too real! I read Nina Hill recently - loved it!! I‘ve got to read Platform Seven as it has so many reserves in it at the library but then I‘ll be on the lookout for some joy!! 1mo

An honest truthful book about women and friendship - I really enjoyed this! The characters were real - happy, sad, struggling - sometimes you need to read something that reminds you it‘s okay not to have your sh*t together all the time. I liked the different voices of the 3 friends and the hopeful and honest ending. Sometimes a friend lasts forever and sometimes only a short while.

Finished this last night, I had to read it quick as I wanted to find out the full extent of Joe‘s creepiness and it was EXTREME!!!! The whole book was just unsettling, as it was supposed to be. I think there‘s a sequel, not sure I would read it. Maybe in time. Need to get some space from Joe first!

This was intriguing from the very first word. Telling the story from three different perspectives and going back to the start of ‘everything‘ was a great hook - I was racing through the pages to find out what was going on. It was suitably creepy without giving me nightmares, which is just the right kind of story for a wuss like me!!

Well, this seemed creepy all the way through to me! I had a feeling there was more to Tim than met the eye and I actually really liked cobot Abbie. The ending was very clever... I had a little cheer for the goodies! I would‘ve liked to know more about the secondary characters, Lisa, jenny and Charles, but I guess the point was that they were secondary to the intensity of Abbie and Tim. Definitely worth reading, much like the others from Delaney.

What a story! It took me ages to read but was such a great read about a family, not sure if I should call it a saga but I think that‘s the closest word. It was set in the present but went back through the family history and was so well written and honest about who they all were. I would definitely read more from Lombardo, although maybe in paperback (this was a 500+ page hardback, not ideal for taking on holiday which I foolishly did!!)

The end of an era, book-wise! I‘ve enjoyed all of Angela Clark‘s trials and tribulations and this was a fitting happy ending to the series.
