pickI avoided SUNSTONE for years because I was scared it'd be too porny for me. Now I'm kicking myself, because this was WONDERFUL! It's girl-meets-girl, slice-of-life BDSM filled with sweetness, friendship, crushes, and experimentation. I LOVED IT SO MUCH!!!
And yeah, there're some breasts and pubic hair and kink paraphernalia, but there's actually less explicit sex than there is in either SAGA or SEX CRIMINALS. No vagina panels here, y'all.

Most didn‘t look my thing (although I am intrigued as to how erotic fiction about gay dinosaurs, unicorns, and sentient private jets actually work...) but Sunstone caught my eye.
A graphic novel about a bdsm relationship between 2 girls who meet online and strike up a friendship. Complications ensue as they discover their roles and their relationship develops.
pickSooo..funny story: I did not mean to buy this 1st issue 😂 no really, I thought it was actually the story featured on the back! Oh well! In any case, I'm glad I picked it up. A graphic novel about love, relationships, bdsm was not really on my TBR but now I may consider reading the whole volume/series. Put down 50 Shades, people, and pick up something that in 25 pages delves far deeper and more accurately into its characters and true bdsm!
