pickI've had this in my Audible library for years. As a huge fan of Justified, it was good to see just how true the show was to the written character. The first book in the series, but if you've only seen the show, this is essentially a prequel, detailing the Miami Beach incident that results in the punishment of Raylan being sent back to Harlem County. Makes me want to read more and also watch the show again!
pickThis was different from my usual reads but was a neat story (and I love #raylangivens). I'm kind of interested in checking out more by Elmore Leonard but not sure which book of his to choose next.
I have been obsessed with the show Justified and now that I'm done watching (😦) I want more! So I'm reading this, my first Elmore Leonard.
I'm also looking for #bookrecs for anything like #Justified (but would prefer a female protagonist)!
I know this quote isn't from "Pronto," but whether it's on the pages of one of the novels, or from the script of one of the episodes of Justified, there's no mistaking the magic of Elmore Leonard's gift for whip-quick, smart dialogue, and no denying that Boyd Crowder has absolutely no time for shifty folk. (And a marvelously skewed sense of a code of honor.)

BOOKMARK UPDATE: provenance of this bookmark: I used to work for a small museum system, and my colleague found this bookmark in a bunch of estate books. Not fitting in our collection, she gave it to me, knowing I had a healthy collection. Incidentally, a NM resident & STILL haven't been to Taos. 😏
so-soThis one started out slow for me, but definitely picked up by the end. Good enough to make me want to pick up the next book in the series
