I am really enjoying this book so far. A mystery that takes place in a small town is exactly the type of book I like. If you like books that have a main character who is discovering their past and learning about themselves on the way, this could be a good choice for you. The point of view is third person limited and it is established by the author describing the main character‘s yearning for knowing how other people feel.

MissYaremcio Thank you for the review Terra! I would have liked a bit more of the summary, but great work! 5/6 2y

3rd update #StayHome24in48
I finished the Frankenstein Graphic Novel, the art is gruesomely whimsical, but still containing the emotions of the story. I next went off program and started another audio, a mystery set in Ireland.

The first in the County Cork cozy mystery series, we follow Maura as she travels to Ireland after the death of her grandmother. Someone seems to be stalking/threatening her, and two dead bodies show up all in her first week in her g-ma‘s home town. I enjoyed this but didn‘t love it, mostly bc it wasn‘t so focused on the mystery, just on her trying to figure out her life. Other reviewers mention that Maura seems too negative, but I didn‘t think so.

MicheleinPhilly Every time someone says an MC is too negative I usually think “I‘ll probably relate to her/him/them.” #CrankyAss 👍🏼 4y
LauraBrook @MicheleinPhilly Same! I totally related to her, and was a little bummed when I saw all those comments about her being negative. But F that! #CrankyAss4Life 4y

There wasn't much mystery in this first book in the County Cork series, but I enjoyed the setting of Ireland, and I also liked that the main character had a background that's a little more gritty than in some cozy mysteries. I'll probably try more books in this series.

Thought it was cute and engaging. Was getting tired of orchard series. Intriguing for now...

I liked it enough to read more in the series but I didn't love the main character - she didn't seem to have much personality. I am hoping that this changes as the series progresses. The setting is fantastic and the secondary characters are strong so those are pluses.

Some people stock up on food for blizzards. I stock up on books for 3 day weekends 😁
