Letters From My Windmill
Letters From My Windmill | Alphonse Daudet
6 posts | 5 read | 7 to read
The stories are all told by the author in the first person, typically addressing a Parisian reader. The author, having relocated his home from Paris, recounts short bucolic tales about his new life in Provence as well as his trips to Corsica and French Algeria. Considered to be light-hearted, and often a bit tongue-in-cheek, the stories vary from day-to-day events in southern France to Provenal folk-tales, and often feature professions and faunal references characteristic of Provence.

The tagged book may not be a strictly introspective book since so many stories involve interacting with others, however it often put me into an introspective mood.

Deck- The Impressionist Tarot

Josee.lit.a.lu.et.lira I have never seen that deck, looking forward to see the other cards! 4y

Sace @Josee.a.lu.lit.et.lira I'm going to try to use this deck and my Bosch deck for these posts. I love them. 4y

Sace @Meaw_catlady I think the deck helped me pick the book too. I love the Hermit of this deck and one thing I love about the edition of this book is the impressionist cover. 4y
Josee.lit.a.lu.et.lira @Sace great impressionist link 🙂 4y
Erinsuereads I agree with all the other comments! I love how the book and the card fit so well together! 4y

Pickpick

Finished one of my #bookspin books. Definitely a pick, though I enjoyed the stories at the beginning of the book more than the later stories.

@TheAromaofBooks (though I'm not really entering myself in the drawing 😉)

TheAromaofBooks Still fun to see what you read!! 😁 Love those old Penguin Classics covers!! 5y
