Marcella, the authors daughter, died after being given a mandatory smallpox vaccination at school at 13. Her loss was devastating. 💔 I have a small pox vaccine scar under my arm, as opposed to on my shoulder like most folks. My pediatrician at the time did not like marring little girls for life. This of course dates me, they stopped vaccinating in the early 1970s as smallpox has been eradicated. #CHILDRENSCLASSICREAD2019

1. I played the game of Life last night with my kids, major flashbacks to my childhood.
2. The best thing is going to be today, field trip to the pumpkin patch with my 1st grader.
3. Last new book I bought myself was, I Capture the Castle.
