This book shows the power of fantasy to explore emotions and the subconscious. Wonderful read, full of evocative ideas and beautiful writing exploring our main character's search for a life with meaning

#SeasonsReadings2016 #FictionNonfictionPairing @RealLifeReading so a day late but here's my thought: actual biology textbook and sci-fi about a world where humans can custom make and remake their personal biology at will. Love Biting the Sun!!!

elkeOriginal I need to #reread Biting - it's on my shelf but I can't remember a thing about it! 8y
Librarianaut @elkeo I think you will find it wonderful!! 8y

@Merethebookgal and I had a fantastic time at #BRLive! We asked authors, creators, & publishers what their #eclecticpick would be - aka. What book they just love no matter how weird or rare.

Before we jump into their picks, I'd like to start with mine - Tanith Lee's "Biting the Sun" An amazing utopian-dystopia that asks, in a world where anything is possible, is everything perfect?

What is your #eclecticpick #eclecticreaders?

Mc_cart_ny I really need to read that one, I missed it when we read it!! 8y
TaraNewman @Mc_cart_ny You really really do! One of my all time favs. 8y
Karen_V Hi Tara! Great to meet you a couple of weeks ago. I sent you an email at the eclecticreaders email address. Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving! 8y
BillBlume My eclectic pick would be Stephen King's The Gunslinger. That book blew me away when I was in my teens. It's a short work compared to most of King's books these days, and it's a crazy rabbit hole of dark fantasy. I'm planning to reread it before the film comes out. 8y
