This F is written by Bill Matin Jr and illustrated by Eric Carle, tells the story as a momma bear and baby bear travel and all the animals they meet on their way. This would be a great book for storytelling. #ucflae3414f19

This F picture book is a great book to have in your K-1 classroom. Using this story as a RA or RT, a teacher could really get the students into the story by having each student be a character, using different voices for each animal, and acting out each part. The repetitive phrases in the story allows for ESOL 8 and 14. Making sure to model the correct reading fluency and pronunciation helps EL‘s and other students comprehend the sorry better.

kennedimartin Using UDL 3.2 you can point out the rhyming and repetitiveness to students as well. https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Browse/Search:baby%20bear%20baby%20bear%20wh... teachers pay teachers has great resources for any teacher to use if you are interested in using this book in your classroom. #lae3414sp19 5y

This F is such a cute book about the bond between the baby bear and his mom and all the animals he meets on the way while looking for her. It‘s written and illustrated by Bill Martin Jr and Eric Carlie. S strategies could be used to introduce this book. This book would also be fun to send home with students to build a bridge between the home and school learning experience.

Erothert http://www.readwritethink.org/classroom-resources/lesson-plans/have-journal-will... this lesson would meet UDL principle 8.3 of fostering collaboration and community and ESOL 38. Assign short reading for homework. 6y
