pickI was a little shocked when The Mitford Years series went from a marriage proposal at the end of one book to married life in the next. This novella comes a few books later to fill in the gap. It was lovely seeing the details of the wedding come together. I loved how Karon added the perspectives of other villagers. It was great to have an insight on other characters relationships.
Lately things are stressful and out of control a visit back to Mitford is in order. The narrator of this, John McDunough, is fantastic. He sounds just like what I think Father Tim would sound like. Thank you Jan Karon, you are balm for the soul.
pickI read a Mitford book every Christmas. This one was short and sweet, and I loved how it delved briefly into the love stories of many of the townspeople. These are so cozy and I just love them.
A #photoadaynov16 catch-up. No furry #readingcompanion in our house, but my husband likes a good book as much as I do. Neither one of us actually got a lot of reading done on our trip, but we got home today, so it's back to regular routine.
