Less detail about the food & meals being eaten would have been preferable; but, overall ~ a thoughtful read.

Cute little teen-type of clean romance stories. Stories were so similar that I read the 1st 2, then bailed. It was odd to have a glossary to understand the Amish words & phrases used in the stories; however, it probably added to the authenticity of the text? Enjoyed.
First book I‘ve read from this author, it was sooooo good. Great characters & all storylines were complete at conclusion of the book…. Will definitely read more from this author!!
At times, the story flowed like an encyclopedia. Was the nuance of the writing lost in translating the book to English? &, is “our country” always Argentina?
Excellent characters. Ending anti-climactic.
The word “smirk” was used in this book more times than I have read that word total in my lifetime. Not a fan of the grammar, odd word spelling and disjointed flow. Don‘t know this author‘s origin ~ obviously not American.
The characters in this book do way too much “thinking” 😳
“You live longer only when you stop trying to live longer.”
Love the short, concise chapters… I do not like the print font of these books ~ when my eyes are tired, it is difficult to see the words clearly. (This is not an issue with other books I‘m currently reading)
Can tell the author is a journalist. Very detailed writing style… If you enjoy clinical details & scientific research, this book is for you! Interesting read….
“Pick what you like, then see how it grows…. What if it blooms?”
Fun & witty read. I love the author‘s podcast which led me to her book. Her humor is so relevant & uplifting.
Interesting story ~~ was picturing characters in the TV show “Big Bang Theory” as I was reading. Loved Elizabeth‘s love of science, life, family (including her dog), and her passion for honesty.
So good ~~ editing issues that drove me crazy in a couple of the earlier books were not an issue with this one ~~ Yay. Enjoyable & fun read!
Like her writing style ~ suspenseful & nice peek into life in Ireland during the pandemic!
Outstanding book ~~ I enjoyed the pace, the length of the chapters & the story!!
Entertaining read ~ again editing/ spelling issue. One of the main bond-jumping targets‘ last name was Cantell for the 1st 2/3rds of the book; then randomly it gained an “r” & became Cantrell.
Another cute story ~~ editing was not awesome in this book ~~ there was a character Dotty, whose name changed spelling to Dottie on a page?? Then another place in the book, Dotty‘s name was used when it should have been Evelyn ~~ I‘m quirky w/details 🤦🏻♀️
Overall, this book made no sense ~~ kept thinking it would go somewhere, but it was an odd & seemingly never-ending story.
Was way too far in to the book when I realized it was “vampirish” ~~ so, I finished instead of bailing. Okay read, enjoyed descriptions of the campus & town ~ vampire type of books are not to my liking.
Lots of detail, liked the “letter-writing” theme that carries throughout ~~~ 1st person got a little confusing at times. Normally, it is Bee, but at times “I” is another character(s) ~ especially during a letter. Made me pay attention!
I enjoyed this book tremendously!! It was a quick read, and it is the basis for a movie currently in production ~~ look forward to reading the sequel. The flow, storyline, character development & humor was fun & feel-good.
~ reminded me of an adult “Wonder” ~ Eleanor is a funny, yet tragic character. Enjoyable & heartwarming read!
Didn‘t realize until after completing the book that this was a biography. Kudos to this amazing lady ~ talented, brilliant, beautiful and strong!! Excellent story ~~ interesting to learn about Hedy Lamarr. In places, the writing was a bit repetitive & lack-luster. Fascinating that Hedy‘s invention was turned down by the navy basically because she was a woman; yet it was basis for wi-fi, cell phones & numerous other technologies ~~ Crazy!!
Enjoyed the flow & writing. Didn‘t know it was somewhat based on Joni Mitchell, & I personally don‘t enjoy reading about people doing drugs, addiction, etc ~~ okay book, just not to my liking💜
Awesome series ~ I‘m not even reading these books in order… Each novel is “stand-alone” fabulous, too. These books have likable characters, suspense, action ~ The author writes with the perfect amount of detail; so enjoyable to read!!
A true woman of “intelligence” could handle 2 energetic toddlers without an air of poor, poor pitiful me. Although she may have suffered from PPD, the main character‘s superior attitude about her higher education & multilingual gifts was so very annoying… &, repetitive throughout the story. I almost bailed after 2 chapters & should have. I am of the attitude that a child is a gift from God 🤷♀️
Enjoyable read until the last few chapters ~~ the author rushed to end the story? Not an understandable conclusion after the detail that went in to the plot development….
Good book ~ I enjoyed that 2 characters were 1st person in the novel… the ending was a disappointment ~ anti-climatic, unrealistic & felt rushed… compared to the pace & detail of the rest of the book.
“Putting off work until tomorrow can make today a ton of fun.” ~~ Dorcas
Still a good series. This is the 1st book with significant errors. Maybe the proof person or editor was snoozing. Many new characters were introduced as Father Tim & Cynthia move to Whitecap. A handful of times the wrong character name was in a sentence.... If the author is confused about who is present and talking, I definitely am cutting myself some slack on keeping them all straight!!😊
Been reading this series in order.... This title is listed as book #6; it is the Wedding of Father Timothy & Cynthia.... However, they are married in both book 4 & book 5??? Crazy.
Very wordy & long.... Not a style that I enjoy, very philosophical.
“I take everything personally — that‘s what being a person is all about.” ~~ Karla
Ok ~ 3rd book that I have read by this author in 3 days.... Are all of her books so gloomy? As much as I like her stories/writing, I‘m tired of characters with depression, alcoholism & drug problems ~ need something a little more uplifting 😉
Good follow-up to Firefly Lane. Love author‘s writing style & character development.
Beautiful story of friendship, family and love ~~~~ but so SAD!! Have tissues ready.
Lots of characters!! I am excited to read the entire Mitford series ~ a slow, leisurely, relaxing, join the “Mitford” community read. 💜💜
“Perhaps, he thought, we should all live as if we‘re dying.” ~ Father Tim
Enjoyed the author‘s writing style!! Great descriptions of scenery & very good character development & growth. I grew up in North Georgia, so I enjoyed mention of local towns & appreciate “off the beaten path” details. Can picture these scenes unfolding in many of the areas I have hiked & enjoyed myself..... I like a book that wraps up nicely w/no loose ends ~ I felt like the ponytail man, truck,.... was left hanging??
