Stick!
Stick! | Andy Pritchett
4 posts | 1 read
Puppy loves his new stick. He wants to play! Now he just needs someone to play with. Puppy is thrilled when he discovers a stick just waiting to be tossed and chased. But Cow is more interested in grass, and Chicken is more interested in a worm. In fact, all of Puppy s friends are busy doing something besides playing with a stick. Poor Puppy! Finally, another equally enthusiastic canine comes along, and the rousing game of fetch that ensues is enough to inspire the entire barnyard to give the stick a chance. In bold, graphic spreads, Andy Pritchett s adorable animal cast enlivens a six-word story of friendship and play too sweet and simple to ignore."

@MaleficentBookDragon congrats on your milestone and thanks for doing a giveaway!

When I was little, my cousins, sister, and I played a game we called “stick pile”. It was a simple game of make believe, in which we hung out by my parents stacked wood and kindling and pretended we had to live there, because we were orphans. Lol, imagination is the best, this memory makes me miss being a kid!

MaleficentBookDragon That is so funny! I used to dress up in long skirts and pretend I lived in an orphanage run by a mean nun. I was so weird. Thanks for entering! 7y
Wife @MaleficentBookDragon I played “orphanage” too! Only l was in charge and all the orphans were my dolls. Their beds were cardboard boxes all in a row. No mean nuns in my orphanage!😄👶🏻👶🏻👶🏻👶🏻👶🏻👶🏻👶🏻 7y

Day 6 of #25booksofchristmas

Great book to read out loud. Different meanings depending on voice inflection. For n to read.

Moral of the story: sticks bring people together. 😂

Ender liked that it was about a dog. He started barking when he saw the cover. Lol
