8 posts | 11 read | 6 to read
A is for Always, that's where we embark . . . Two children, treasure map in hand, and their pet gazelle sneak past their father, out of their house, and into a world beneath the city, where monsters and pirates roam. Will they find the treasure? Will they make it out alive? The Dangerous Alphabet is a tale of adventure, piracy, danger, and heroism told in twenty-six alphabetical linesalthough even the alphabet is not to be relied upon here. A delightfully dangerous journey from national bestselling author Neil Gaiman and the monstrously talented Gris Grimly, The Dangerous Alphabet is sure to captivate and chill young readers.

Yeah, I am that person who will start the day off rereading a picture book I bought for myself because I love Neil Gaiman‘s stories—whatever age he is writing for—and I love Gris Grimly‘s art. So that‘s my morning…practicing my ABCs and drinking espresso while the family sleeps and the house is quiet. 😬😂🤷‍♀️

#BBRC #A2Z #neilgaiman
Finished two more books for letters W and D for the BBRC. The Dangerous Alphabet was a very good creepy kids picture book. The illustrations were fantastic!

bibliobard You can‘t go wrong with Neil Gaiman! 5y

Clever, but dark. This is not an alphabet book that you should actually go out and buy to try and teach your preschooler the alphabet. 😂 But if you want some funny and disturbing writing, and some cutely creepy illustrations, this will be right up your alley.

#Candy #coolbooks @Linsy

The Dangerous Alphabet is so much more then Apple, Boat and Cat. It's pure Neil Gaiman. "E" is for Evil and Entices. The illustrations are incredible.
I don't think I would want to be taking Candy from these guys.

Linsy Oh my goodness. I need this. I need this. I need this. I need this! 😱🤩😍 6y

My library is seriously lacking in the #steampunk department. This is the best I can do. #seasonsreadings2016
