I loved this book like all Kava‘s other books! So happy Maggie was a part of this story!!
I love reading mystery books with police or search and rescue dogs in them. I've read and loved a few of these books and see a few I might add to my tbr 😊

For the most part, this suspense novel is interesting and keeps you wondering where the action will take you next. The ending, however, turns into one of those "all of these completely random plot lines are actually conveniently connected" twists and the wrap-up of the various plots seems rushed.
"Of course, he already knew she had driven through the downpours from her voice message." I'm going to take that as the worst is behind me and the remaining months of 2017 will be amazing. ⛈??
FBI agent Maggie O'Dell and dog handler and trainer Ryder Creed end up pitted against a Columbian drug cartel. Ok story but easy to put down.
This was my first time reading Alex Kava and I really enjoyed this book. I think the fact that the main character helped train dogs was a big part of why I liked it. I'm a huge dog lover. I definitely plan on reading more of this series.
