This wasn‘t the best book about dealing with anxiety. It was really repetitive and the author thinks she‘s funnier than she really is. I gave it three stars mostly for the flow chart near the end that actually seems helpful. #NetGalley #ARC

This is my favorite Chelsea Handler book to date. It is still humorous, but it has a more serious tone at times. Handler discusses her brother‘s death when she was a child and how that shaped her personality as an adult. And it‘s always nice to know that I‘m not the only one who lost it mentally after the election of Trump. But this quote really stopped me in my tracks because I let so many people determine my mood.

This is an ok true crime book. It read more like a trial transcript than a book. In happier news - pumpkin coffee is back!!!! 🎃

I keep hearing about this book and how it‘s a must read. My awesome gym (owned by an amazing woman) started a little library and I was so excited for this to be my first read. Break out the highlighters, pens and journals because this book is filled with information on living a better and healthier life.

Bklover I‘m getting ready to start this one! 5y

A very cute cozy mystery. It‘s the second book in a series but it could be read alone. I look forward to reading more of Callie and her Boston Terrier, Daisy. Plus I‘m a sucker for any book with a Boston. #NetGalley #DogsOfLitsy

A quick read that fans of true crime podcasts will love. Josie‘s father was murdered when she was a teen and her twin sister‘s testimony convicted their neighbor of the crime. Twelve years later, a podcast reexamines the case and Josie no longer knows who actually killed her father.

It was pretty obvious how the ending would play out, but I still wanted to keep reading and see when Josie would come to the same conclusion.

Booklover77 Currently reading this! Very emotional to me! Definitely a page turner for me! 5y

A highly detailed book about the murder of Sherri Rasmussen and how a cold case was solved 23 years after the attack. I first heard about this case on the Casefile podcast which featured the murderer‘s police interview. McGough dives deep into this case and features the murderer‘s own diary entries and case file notes. #NetGalley #arc

I first heard of the trial of Harry Thaw on My Favorite Murder and Criminal podcasts. Thaw murdered Stanford White for allegedly raping his wife, Evelyn Nesbit, when she was 16. Was this a justified killing or did Thaw have even darker secrets in his own closet? Baatz provides details into Thaw's trial and the aftermath. Evelyn becomes a bit of a side character and I wish more information regarding her was in the story. #mfm

A great sequel in the Seaside Cafe Mystery series. Everly Swan hosts a wedding reception for her childhood friend. Swan's local tea shop is once again the scene of a murder. She now has to help find the murderer among a crowd of out of town guests, a noisy reporter, and a shady business partner. The Marble House and Belcourt mansions were always my favorite mansions in Newport. I was amazed to learn that Alva Vanderbilt Belmont lived in both mansions when I first toured them. This is the fictionalized story of Alva and her determination for a good life for herself and her family. There was a bit of a lull in the middle of the book, but I really enjoyed when the construction of Marble House began. #netgalley #arc

An entertaining novelization of Harley Quinn's backstory. This story features Dr. Harleen Quinzel (pre-Harley) along with the Joker, Batman, Poison Ivy and other Gotham favorites. I would love a sequel that focuses on Harley and Poison Ivy's relationship. I always thought that was more interesting than her relationship with the Joker. ♦️♣️💋🃏

Pretentious much? duBois wants you to know that she took a SAT prep class and remembers those vocabulary words.

I stopped reading at 60%. I thought this would be more sci-fi but it reads more like a general fiction book with a sprinkle of sci-fi. Four people in a small town see visions of a parallel universe. They start to question how they are living their lives. The story was a bit mundane and I didn‘t really care why the visions happened or how the books ends. #arc #NetGalley

You will hate the main character in this book. Catherine West is a wealthy woman in her early forties. She reminds me of an older Serena van der Woodsen from Gossip Girl - a rich girl from the Upper East Side who has no idea how the rest of us live.

Catherine lives a totally carefree life in NYC until a person from her past reintroduces himself. Despite the annoying protagonist, the story was interesting and I did want to keep reading. ⭐️⭐️⭐️

White Stag jumps right into the goblin world from page one. A mixture of Vikings and Labyrinth, Nordic folklore is very prevalent. Janneke, a human girl, is taken and raised by goblins. The Poppy War reminds me of a Chinese-inspired version of The Name of the Wind and a bit of Red Rising. I wish it spent more time at the academy then on the war, but overall it‘s a wonderful fantasy read. TW: There are very violent scenes in some parts and rape is also described.

Yeah_I_Read I also thought it was reminiscent of The Name of the Wind! ❤️ 6y
JazzFeathers I bailed on it halfway through. Maybe l'm too much of a demanding fantasy reader, but while l found the beginning at the village wonderfully new and refreshing, l found the acadamy part bit of the same old story. But l pushed on, wanting to see where it was going. The first battle was so unrealistic that l just couldn't take any more. Sorry, it didn't really work for me. 6y
