The threat of Mortmain's Infernal Devices looms as the Shadowhunters race to work out a way to counteract the mechanical monsters. Meanwhile, plans for Tessa's marriage to Jem are underway, despite her fianc's failing health and the unresolved feelings between her and Will. When Tessa is captured, Will must leave his comrade behind to save the woman they both love... But with the final missing piece--Tessa herself--in Mortmain's possession, can anything stop his plot for revenge?

Done all 3 in the Infernal Devices Graphic novels! And loved them so much! This has definitely been my favourite of Cassandra Clare‘s work!! Would love to see movies done of these... but as long as they don‘t mess with them as they did with both screen portrayals of mortal instruments. I was so sadly disappointed in those. 😢

Nostxlgia14 I love the infernal devices!!! R the graphic novels really that good?? 7y
Tianarose Yes they are! Very true to the books :) 7y

Tianarose We sure are. :) 7y
AmyG I‘m with you two. 7y
drokka 🙋 Same here. Now that work allows us to work from home, I leave my home even less often, especially in the winter. When it's warming I do step out and walk down to the river and commune with nature. 7y

"'You know that feeling,' she said, 'when you are reading a book, and you know that it is going to be a tragedy; you can feel the cold and darkness coming, see the net drawing tight around the characters who live and breathe on the pages. But you are tied to the story as if being dragged behind a carriage and you cannot let go or turn the course aside.'"

For #QuotsyFeb18 prompt #dangerous because reading is dangerous ? @TK-421

TK-421 Excellent quote! 👏👏👏 ❤️ Just to let you know, you don't have to tag LitsyHappenings for Quotsy posts, just me 😊 I think there's been some confusion because I tagged them in my host post. Sorry about that! 7y
cj82487 @TK-421 will do! I'm still figuring this stuff out 7y

Thank you @Noonlightreader and @miralunasbooknook for the #5star predictions tag! My thinking is that The Last Tudor by Philippa Gregory, Tower of Dawn by Sarah J Maas, Wonder Woman Warbringer by Leigh Bardugo and Lady Midnight and Lord of Shadows by Cassie Clare will surely all be 5 star ratings?! I have such high hopes for all of them! Each of those authors is a favourite of mine! Tower of Dawn definitely is amazing so far 😍 #books #fantasy #YA

laurieluna I want to read this so bad! I've bought it for my mother in law for christmas...might sneak a read of it 😂 x 7y
BookishBrooklyn @miralunasbooknook I think it's going to be amazing 😱I say go for it 😂💕 7y

It's beautiful, all three books. Cassie is a great writer... Although, I kind of cannot agree. to Tessa Gray's opinion of loving two people at the same time, dividing the heart in two is really complicated thing for me, but whatever it is, it's been described beautifully. I fell in love with Jessa.

- I completed #TID months ago and my heart had never felt this way after finishing a trilogy. I had no idea it was possible to feel such tempered happiness as well as such overwhelming grief for everyone involved. Many of the things i thought might happen, did, and yet it doesnt change my fierce love and admiration for the way everything folded. #bookstagram #themortalinstruments #books #theinfernaldevicea

Starlightbooktales It's such a wonderful book. 8y

#riotgrams Day 21 - Cool spines

I'm thinking about starting this series over from the beginning so I can read it in the suggested order. I've only read 1-5 of TMI so I really need to finish so I can read Lady Midnight. 😬

This series' main characters are in a #lovetriangle. This is a very entertaining series I highly recommend. #feistyfeb I just started her Mortal Instrument series with The City of Bones. I hope it is as good.

BookBoggart Loved both series! I started thr other way around. Although reading the infernal devices. Makes connecting there ancestors much easier. 😁 8y

#readjanuary These were my #bestofjanuary reads. 👇🏻

Gleefulreader Ooh - glad you liked Wolf Winter! It is on my LitsyAtoZ list and I'm hearing the author speak later this year. 8y
Texreader @Gleefulreader It's a very Scandinavian story if you've read anything by other Scandinavian authors. It's dark and I won't share more so I don't give anything away. 8y

I just finished this one, the last of the Infernal Devices trilogy, and the best of the three I daresay. Have tissues at hand as you near the end. You know it's coming a mile away and yet you still can't stop the waterworks. Nice surprising epilogue but I'll say no more about that. Enjoy it! I did!

AmandaL I loooved Infernal Devices! ❤ 8y
Texreader @AmandaL Me too!!! I read these first. So next I'll read the Mortal Instruments series. How do you think it compares? 8y
AmandaL I only read the first three books in Mortal Instruments. I totally loved them too. Cassandra Clare always manages to make me care so much about all her characters that I have constant anxiety while I read about them. I have to finish up that series, but I'll need to reread because it's been a while. 8y
Texreader @AmandaL I'm so glad to hear that. I've been reading one book between each one. So I'll start that series after my next book. 8y

It's more of a love story than action/terror and the like, so I can freely say that the book titles are a little misleading😛 Overall, I did like it and I might even re-read this trilogy because the Shadowhunter world is one of my favourites !

I absolutely adore the manga version of The Infernal Devices! It's just sad that its not all in color.
