Merry Christmas everyone!
Thank you thank you for making my Christmas brighter. The books look terrific and I love that you added other hand made items. The tote is too cool and love my Hufflepuff bookmark. @bullbunny
@vkois88 Thanks for hosting this swap. I will be looking forward to next year‘s.

Litsy doesn't seem to have this edition in the database - in addition to 'Happy Christmas, Five' (published 1956) it contains 'Five have a puzzling time' (published 1960) & 'When Timmy chased the cat' (published 1957) - I'm not completely sold on the illustrations by Jamie Littler (but I'm a purist, I can also complain at length about modern animation style 😖) which definitely help to make the text seem modern (without it actually being updated)
Uncle Quentin! I've never pictured you this way 🙈🙄😜
Mixed feelings about the illustrations. Probably more for the benefit of new Famous Five readers who might be put off by the fact that the books were (mostly) written in the 1940's and 1950's? And now we have an Uncle Quentin with stubble and a Hollywood smile... 🤔
A book of Famous Five stories from the late, great Enid Blyton that I haven't had the pleasure of reading before? A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE! And not only because I braved the Boxing Day crowds to buy it (and spinach for my quiche, made in my new-to-me vintage blue Pyrex pie dish)
