Panpan

I was so relieved to finally reach the last story in this very long collection! There were a few good stories in here. One or maybe two of them were stories I hadn‘t read before. The book is mostly reprints and mostly bad. The idea of a Rapunzel so sheltered by her sex-fearing mother that she sleeps with the first man she comes across may have been excitingly salacious the first time, but by the third I was just annoyed.

Clare-Dragonfly Fairy tale lovers: Pick this up for Susanna Clarke‘s “Mr. Simonelli, or, the Fairy-Widower” and then put it back down again. 4y
TheAromaofBooks Thanks for wading through this one to find the apparently very well hidden gem! 😂 4y

#BookReport

I finished The Melancholy of Mechagirl, as planned.
I started HPSS and am on track with #PotterADay.
I read one story in Happily Ever After and started another, but have not reached my goal of finishing two stories.
I made some progress on Dawn Treader.

Linsy Nice! 5y

LibrarianRyan Nice haul. Beware that copy of red riding hood may not have the last chapter in it. For a while the only copy that had the last chapter was the movie cover. 6y
Alfrazier21 I‘m so glad you liked everything!!! I had so much fun shopping for you!! 6y
Chrissyreadit @LibrarianRyan how will I know? Why did they do that? 6y

LibrarianRyan @Chrissyreadit in the end it will tell you a link to go find the last chapter. But they may have added it back in on the paperback version. 6y
LibrarianRyan @Chrissyreadit the reason- they sold the movie rights before the book rights. The book came out 2 weeks before the movie and they kept out the last chapter so the movie wasn‘t spoiled. I was soooo pissed. And by the time the movie was out I didn‘t care anymore. I really liked it before then. 6y
Chrissyreadit @LibrarianRyan the link is there. What a gimmick. 6y
Alfrazier21 Oh my gosh I am so sorry! I didn‘t realize they did that! I just picked it up because it looked like a fun story! 😕 6y
Chrissyreadit @Alfrazier21 no worries! I love Red and wolves- great choice! I just have to finish it via link. 6y
Crazeedi Happy Valentine's day!🌷❤ 6y
Chrissyreadit @Crazeedi Happy Valentines Day to you! 6y
LibrarianRyan @Alfrazier21 don‘t feel sorry. It is a good book. It‘s the publishers fault. And the fact they didn‘t add the chapter back in for the paperback edition. Ughhh. But you made a great choice. I did really like this book. 6y

Littens, I need your help! I need a few bits of “marital wisdom” or advice, along the lines of “the way to a man‘s heart is through his stomach” or “never go to bed angry.” I‘m working on a game for a bridal shower (tomorrow!) and have stalled. Any gems? Trite is ok, maybe even good!
