This book was so well written, I just loved it. This resonated on such a deep level for me because this felt very similar to my life growing up in many ways.
⭐️⭐️⭐️ Overall, I enjoyed this book but found certain parts to be overly detailed or slow. I liked some of the cultural references as they reminded me of my own childhood.
Next in the #audiobook reading line-up. I just saw this cute little video by the author: https://youtu.be/0q3yyWY2tc8 Supersonic is one of my favorite songs! 😂🤣😂
For @bookriot #riotgrams day 7 - Black writers - here are some recent #ya gems!
Well written. This book follows one girl in short vignettes from being a you girl through graduating high school.
A unique coming of age story that I really enjoyed. Beautifully done!💜
I'm a tad late as I just got home after a long day of work, (including our company's ping pong 🏓 tournament where I won third place in doubles, ha!), the gym, and a few hours of babysitting.
Anyway, here are a few debut novels I have on my shelf from #newauthors for #awesomeautumnbooks. Hester Young is already out with her second book in The Gates of Evangeline series, but I haven't read it yet, so still a new author to me!
@Jess7
Saturday night reading. This book is really different but also really good.
