Book 11 & so over the top. Familiar benchmarks from the series, Kay‘s codependent relationship with her niece, leaks in her office, passwords locked in a filing cabinet.

But this 1 has a Loup-Garou & they travel to 🇫🇷 & she says “I haven‘t heard of any murders in Paris” …well you‘re the medical examiner in Virginia how would you hear about every murder in Europe? Somehow several stories are connected, but hanging by a thread. It was fun tho.

KathyWheeler The one after this one might be where I stopped reading this series. I did think it was fun that there was a Loup-Garou in this one. 1y
5feet.of.fury @KathyWheeler the one before this wrapped up major storylines, so I was interested to see where it went, in many aspects it was more of the same. I‘m going to keep at it, because I own some of the ones from in the 2010s 😂 1y

Back to this series, I read “Scarpetta‘s Winter Table” in Dec &took a break #serieslove2023

Kay is dealing with the psychological aftermath of Point of Origin.I‘m 1/4 of the way in,no sort of plot or investigation has gone on

It‘s 1999 & Kay‘s assistant heard about”her internet chats” but hasn‘t seen them bc “he doesn‘t have AOL at home.”He also accused Kay of being a workaholic to deal with her grief, but Kay has been a workaholic since book 1.

This book was a great reminder of why I love this series! I always enjoy the fact that her books keep me guessing and turning the pages as fast as I can!

Book 10 in the Kay Scarpetta series and I thought it had a good plot. It's not the strongest series but I do enjoy the books. I feel like I'm fully invested in the main characters now and need to know what happens to them in the future.

A day behind as always 🙈 The first book I thought of when I read the Paris prompt was this one... It's not exactly what one would call a leisurely trip when Kay Scarpetta has to jet set to #Paris in hopes of finding a murderer with a couple of peculiar medical conditions. I found this book fascinating when I read it many, many years ago. Back when I still liked the Scarpetta series 😕

Nothing really to say about this. Just a basic Kay Scarpetta book.

It's been a long long time since I've read Patricia Cornwell. Like running into an old friend 😊
