I finished the 8 hour (?) audiobook in just 2 days, so I think that says a lot about how much I loved this. The story was so magical, heart-breaking and wonderful that I just couldn't stop listening to it. The characters were amazing as well, and I really felt for them. I loved every single second of this, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone!

I started this absolutely gorgeous audiobook today (yes, I'm currently reading 4 books. Don't judge me please) and I'm absolutely in love with it! I'm never that good with audiobooks and I usually move through them very slowly, but I've already read 30% of this one, which says a lot about how much I like this.

This MG novel is not for the faint of heart. The 11 year old protagonist undergoes terrible treatment including torture at the hands of her in laws. Though the writing is beautiful, I was dissatisfied by the lack of a proper resolution. I wanted to see the villains pay for their actions. This felt more like a first in a series than a proper standalone tbh.
