I need more historical graphic novels like this in my life. I loved getting to know Soupy and, like her, getting a glimpse into hobo life during the Great Depression. The story and whimsical art transports readers whether it's to the side of the tracks getting ready to jump into a boxcar or deep in the woods eating Mulligan Stew at hobo camp. This is a great read.

I love the illustrations in this book!

Soupy has to leave home (in part) because she‘s a bookish girl. We can imagine a future for her, can‘t we?

This was a delightful graphic novel about a girl who passes as a boy and joins a bunch of hobos riding the rails and taking care of each other.
