The tagged book is a memoir of an Oxford mother who, in 1985, packs her four daughters (age 5 to 11) into a camper and sets out on a storybook journey through Europe. Along the way they visit Hans Brinker‘s Holland, Heidi‘s Alps, Pinocchio‘s Tuscany, and many more sites made famous in children‘s literature. I think she must‘ve been a brave soul, indeed. 😆

Jinjer How was the writing style? Did it hold your interest? 5y
BarbaraBB That sounds amazing, the stories I grew up with! (edited) 5y
saresmoore Yeah, no, that sounds feckin‘ awful. That‘s twice as many children as I have to take to the grocery store and just no. 5y
Centique @saresmoore 😂😂😂 5y
LeahBergen @Jinjer It flows quite nicely and is very appealing (from the bits I‘ve read 😆). 5y
LeahBergen @saresmoore That was pretty much my opinion, too. I was annoyed taking two dogs to the dog park. 😆😆 5y
LeahBergen @Centique She‘s correct! 😆 5y
BarbaraBB @Jinjer Love seeing you here and missing your posts! 5y
Jinjer Aww thank you! I'm still around, just reading and commenting but not posting. My own posts bore me. LOL I find everyone else's posts / pictures / words so much more interesting.

Perfect reading spot today - overlooking the Blutenburg Castle and its veritable swan lake. Hopefully, this book would give me more ideas of places to go while here in Germany.

#MarchIntoReading Day Nine: #AlliterativeTitles - looks like I will have to bring Hardyment's book when my family and I return to Europe this summer.
