Witchy book haul from the last month or so. Splitting the studying between this and veterinary technician classes. #witch #witchcraft #spellsformindfulness #poweranimals #completebookofwitchcraft #thewitchcrafthandbook #learningnewthings #findingpeacewithinmyself
Was an interesting little read. Not exactly what I expected, but very interesting and informative. More like a workbook style course in Witchcraft than a history on the topic.

Save the Date! @monalyisha is doing a #WitchPleaseSwap to celebrate all things witchy!!!
So excited for this, esp. since in last year‘s Halloween Swap I didn‘t receive a single thing that was Halloween/Fall/Witchy related. Hoping for better luck this year, since it is my FAVORITE season!!
See original post for details!
This also goes quite well with the #Screamathon readathon, which I will be resurrecting in October again! 🧙🏼♀️🍁🍂🎃
Can‘t believe I did it. Listened to this entire thing “cover to cover.” Phew.
I did find it to be extremely heteronormative, and weirdly critical of female dominance in the craft.
Buckland is fully transparent about the fact that he has made up large portions of these “traditions” so it‘s weird to me when people treat it as a bible.
I enjoyed the brief overview of so many topics though, and the list of active practitioners.

I have mixed feelings about this but my library has the audiobook so here goes!
This basically seems like a smoke and mirrors book and it says as much in the intro but it‘s still interesting in how much it‘s inspired culturally.
We‘ll see how far I can get due to bravado and inaccuracy though.
