The ‘spirit‘ of Batman observes his own funeral and the stories told by his colleagues and enemies about him. Neil Gaiman writes the final episode to close out decades of Batman and Action Comics. It is a masterful eulogy to the Dark Knight, and a fitting last visit to the years of adventures past, before welcoming future tales and iterations of the beloved character. Essential to any fan of comics!

Even though I've had this to read forever, I've some how never gotten to it. I liked it a lot. Not my favorite Batman, but a cool idea and execution. Definitely a Gaiman story.

I MET BATMAN TODAY!

This guy came into my store today, obvi dressed as Batman for the anniversary, right as the Batman event for the kids was starting so we got to really surprise the kiddos with a surprise guest and they loved it! He was so amazing with them and it made the event that much more special for them.

Today was a good day 😊

SauerPatch Some heroes do wear capes! How sweet. 🤗 5y

Neil Gaiman's Batman makes me sad. 😢 Beautiful concept and well written. Just a different take on the best DC character and his demise. #linebaugh #library #graphicnovel

📽 1966 Batman (there is a red phone connecting the Mayor to the Batman)
📚I can‘t think of one. I‘m sure the red phone showed up in the old Batman comics.

It's been an exciting day at work as this little feathery guy payed us a surprise visit today!!
Happy to say he was carefully & safely returned to his natural habitat.??

With outside temperatures reaching a "Real Feel" of 104°?? currently here in Maryland, can you even blame the little guy?

Not to mention that the library is a wonderful place to be❣??❤

LauraBrook Hi there, little fella! Can't blame him for hanging out in the library. 😎 (edited) 7y

In the afternoon she reads a book: feminist trash. Waters the plants and stares out of the window.

JenniferJarrell That's pretty much my days off in a nutshell. 8y
