Alright, people, life's too short to waste on subpar books. ESPECIALLY on vacation. So, if you want a good short laugh, go read My Immortal, a Harry Potter fan fiction that went down as the "worst fanfiction of all time." It's HILARIOUS and I was crying at work the other day ???
(I know this is hard to read but temporarily I am BACK AT IT GUYS) She's 16 now btw. And NO GIRL NO. Those "warm feelings" ? should NOT be met with an "encouraging smile." This poor girl knows nothing! That's not romance! ??? *facepalm* The "Pleasure Palace" has been a boring read so far, devoid of character development. I just don't have a good feeling about this.
NOOOOOOO. ? I do not--I repeat--DO NOT like "slow smiles"!!! Leave while you still can! Also did she make him sound like he was saying vows for a reason??? Ahhh. ? Well I'm heading to bed because I need sleeps and I'm not sure how much of this I can handle in one sitting ?
Just learned THERE ARE THREE OF THESE. But also it's kinda dry so far. Really trying hard to sound like the protagonist speaks as they would've in this period. Also, is it just me, but don't they only spend multiple paragraphs describing the characters' "builds" if you're reading erotica-like stuff? ??? Like it literally isn't necessary right now!!
Alright folks, this is probably hard to read but it must be shown. FYI: I haven't read an entire adult sole-romance novel since the "Love Comes Softly" series when I was a kid ? However when a book basically promises to be the drama of the Tudors show and is named PLEASURE PALACE (!?!?!?), it's basically my preferred version of the Bachelorette and I gotta do it ? here we go!
SHOULD I DO IT? @BookishFeminist and @steverogers this is the book I had in mind when I mentioned I don't have the courage to do what you guys are doing. I JUST FEEL LIKE THIS NEEDS TO BE READ ??? I found it on the clearance wall and have been saving it for a hilarious read. My coworker who rung it up for me wasn't amused but I AM. ITS MY FAVORITE TIME PERIOD PLUS the "enticing" and "compelling" passion of the Tudor Court! ???
