#BooksAcrossOceans #day11 #BlackAndWhitePhoto This is a very dramatic photo I took when we were coming in from our houseboat holiday in May. This is the Hawkesbury River Railway Bridge at Brooklyn. Opened on May 1st 1889 it's still the main railway crossing of the river, though they did have to replace the pylons a while back, it's still a very beautiful bridge to photograph.

#Riotgrams #day29 #AFavoriteHobby My only real hobby is reading these days, but when I can, I really love fishing. My dad was a mad keen fisherman, the kind that risk their lives fishing off the rocks during heavy seas, he taught me how to use a rod & a handline, how to bait a hook & how to get a fish safely off one. We didn't catch much on the houseboat, most were as small as this one so it was catch&release. I did get 1 lge flathead though.🎣

vivastory My great grandfather lived right next to a lake (like 2 blocks away) & had a boat at the dock. Some of my more vivid, fondest childhood memories are fishing with him. 7y
