I'd checked out two graphic memoirs and came close returning this one without opening. I'm glad I read. Only days before her #summerwedding, Marisa finds out she has breast cancer. You witness her disbelief, her tears, her breakdowns, her acceptance, and her humor in this amazing book.

This graphic memoir is about a fashionista who is diagnosed with breast cancer right before her wedding. It's witty, heartfelt, and personal. As someone with a history of breast cancer on both sides of my family, there were points in this book where I had a difficult time breathing. There is a lot more depth then I was expecting. I'd highly recommend this if you like graphic novels, memoirs, or know anyone who has been diagnosed with cancer.

The convention doesn't open for another half hour and I don't have the energy to talk to anyone. Time to finish this book!

It was 40° when we left Ohio and in the 70s here in Virginia. We weren't prepared for this, so we stopped at Goodwill to buy shorts. Of course I had to check out the book department... and I found this graphic memoir, which I'm now flipping through while waiting to load in my stock.
