Love Katherine Center books but this one was just ok.
A charming story of juggling self + couple + family; the challenges of a marriage with children. Center has such a positive outlook and is never sappy, often hilarious, and just darn good. I wasn‘t so sure I wanted to be in this world of chasing 3 young boys around while holding onto some romance, but this worked for me by the end. Our heroine lives through it all by loving her way through it all.

I just loved this book. Katherine Center understand marriage and the work that goes into keeping the love alive. #romancy
So, so relatable. Never stop fighting for your marriage, for your family, for yourself. I love that despite giving up sleep to work on herself, physically and by starting photography, Lanie found healing in her new circumstances. I really enjoyed all the little quirks of parenthood and the nods to the never-ending ponderings of why we do what we do in response to our kids.
“I hate to say it, but I will. Children, despite their infinite charms, are an absolute assault on a marriage.”
Finished reading this while my youngest was in speech therapy. Flying back from the east coast to the west coast slowed down my reading since I have started falling asleep while reading. Anyhow, short book & a fun read. It was a sweet story about college sweethearts & what can happen after having kids & changing careers or in this case going back to school (which I can relate to as my husband when back for his PhD when our oldest was 2).
I always enjoy Center‘s books, some more than others, and this one falls in that category. Lanie and Peter met in college, have been married 9 years and have 3 boys (all aged 4 and under). They move from their beloved Houston home to Cambridge for Peter‘s musician‘s dream. This is a story about everyday life, marriage and parenthood and trying to juggle it all while also not losing your own identity. Humorous but also thought provoking. 4/5⭐️ 🔻
