What a wonderful little book! It's written so lovely from Germains perspective. Definitly a book that will touch your heart. ❤ (sorry for the bad image quality, don't want to post german book covers all the time and this was the best the internet had to offer..)

tea and a good book - perfect after work treatment! I had a difficult day at work today. Now I need to hide behind a book for while to relax.

I absolutly love the cover of my german version of 'Soft in the head'. I read only three pages so far and I'm already in love with this book! 😍

My heart is already aching for Germain, the intellectually challenged narrator and I hope that 85 year old Margueritte is the true friend he needs.

What a sweet, lovely little book. The story of Germain, a barely literate lunk of a man, and the friendship he strikes up with Margueritte, an 85-year old former scholar. Your heart will break for Germain and the many opportunities he has missed due to years of neglect by his mother and other adults who should have treated him better. It is a story about the power of books and words and kindness, and how it is never too late to change your life.

I quite like Germain's observations.

Waiting room reading. (I am hopelessly unfaithful when it comes to books. I started this one today because the hardcover of To The Bright Edge of the World is just too darned heavy for my bag.)

A short, quick, light and easy read about 45 yr old Germain who is kinda 'soft in the head'. It revolves around an unlikely friendship between him and an 85 yr old lady he meets in the park.. Very heart warming and very cute.
