Really unique art style with bright colors and expressive characters. Uses colors to introduce the basic objects that make up Muslim religious practice. I really liked this one because it works for a wide age range of children, and is equally useful for Muslim audiences looking for positive representation to foster pride and excitement in their own children, and for non-Muslim audiences looking to introduce their children to a new religion.
My last #pop20 prompt was a book with a gold, silver, or bronze in the title. This lovely picture book contains two of those, and the illustrations are gorgeous! Highly recommend to anyone with young children in their lives.
Each page in the book has a different color and talks about different things that go along with the Muslim culture. I love that it has a glossary in the back because I didn‘t know what some of the words meant. Very colorful pictures on each page.

This book uses colors and matches it with a work from Muslim culture that relates to the picture of what it‘s called in Muslim language. I like the way the illustrator made the pictures match the word in a different language so kids can interpret what the author is saying.
#SeasonsReadings Day 26: #SilverAndGold this concept book of colors made me fall in love with the gorgeous imagery, tapestry, and care woven into the fabric of this story. It is a beautiful introduction to a Muslim‘s way of being or their “deen” as demonstrated through bright splashes of colors. My review: https://wp.me/pDlzr-7Jz
This is a really sweet little rhyming story that has fantastic colour imagery and serves as lovely representation for Muslim kids. It also makes for a great intro for kids who might not be familiar with some of the traditions associated with Islam. The illustrations are really incredible. Definitely recommended.

This is a beautifully illustrated children‘s book! The silver & gold Eiffel Tower is from Paris, where we honeymooned.
I decided to fight the slump with a couple of children's books from Hoopla. Golden Domes and Silver Lanterns was a beautifully illustrated book of colors that also taught about objects used in the practice of Islam. Ramayana was a retelling of an episode from the Ramayana. The illustrations were stunning. Honestly I want to buy a physical copy of both of these.
It was wonderful reading these books that had elements of our culture! My daughter was especially excited to see the prayer rug in "Golden Domes..." and rushed to get her own to show me.
