Smells Like Heaven
Smells Like Heaven | Sally Cooper
5 posts | 1 to read
Set in the fictional town of Fletcher, the connected stories in Smells Like Heaven span thirty years. Fletcher is a town the characters strive to escape, but keep returning to, as they stumble through life searching for ways to connect and transcend their claustrophobic pasts. Following two sisters--Devon and Christine--as well as their friends and lovers, Smells Like Heaven exposes the core of what it means to be transformed by love. See below for praise of Cooper's 2007 novel Tell Everything.

I think this is one of the reasons I haven't been able to make the switch.

squirrelbrain I love smelling books, but I also have an ereader too, for commuting. 6y
Samplergal I used to be that way. I love my e reader too. It‘s quite convenient to have so many books in a small space. Still there is nothing like a physical book. 6y
Reviewsbylola I was a heavy kindle user for years when it first came out, but I read ebooks infrequently now and that‘s the main reason—it just can‘t replace the weight and feel of a regular book. 6y

MotionChickness I love my kindle for the moments where I NEED to start a certain book.... but I hate being stuck to a charging cable when the battery gets low. Or worrying about it dying while I‘m out. Physical books ftw 🙌🏻 6y
KrystleTheBookSlayer I love both! My Kindle is especially great for night time reading. I have trouble sleeping, so I like to keep my room as dark as possible and also when it gets to dark to read on my balcony, then I can just switch to my Kindle. Also I'm out of shelf space at home, so my Kindle is really convenient. 6y
Melissa_J I love my ereader, but I still read about 90% of my books in print. Nothing to do with the smell of books though 😂 6y

Linsy I love that! It almost sounds fake, it‘s so perfect. I will have to figure out how to use it in daily life. My poor husband. I‘m going to bibliosmia all over the place. (Did I do it right?) (edited) 6y
