pickA sweet story about a teenager falling in love for the first time. Ava is deaf and begins the story as an isolated outsider with an unhappy home and school life. As the story progresses she gets to know a boy who sees her for who she really is. A good YA story that shows the difficulties encountered by someone who doesn't quite fit in. I will say a little more editing would have avoided some ebook errors.
I'm really looking forward to reading this by @jandralee I have a personal interest in how disabilities are included in literature so this'll be good 😊
pickI really enjoyed this sweet little book. The voice used to tell the story is perfect for contemporary YA, and I can honestly say it doesn't follow any of the formulas that many others do. I liked the characters, and smiled a lot while I was reading it... the ending packs an emotional punch. 💔
