(1989) The 4th volume in Clancy's series of thrillers featuring intelligence analyst Jack Ryan has Ryan responding to a covert military operation gone sour, targeting drug production in Colombia. I haven't been a fan of this series but it's growing on me: it's turning into a sort of technothrillers where the "techno" is US political machinery (plus enough peril to keep the ship moving). Flaws, yes, but interesting, and this is my favorite so far

I ❤️ old school Tom Clancy. I can't remember what drugs were involved in this one, but considering the fact that I couldn't even identify the smell of marijuana at a rock concert, I think I should be forgiven if #cocaine is not the drug of choice in this book. 😉 #rockinmay
