I usually love Datlow/Windling anthologies, but this one wasn't for me. I think a common time period isn't enough base a collection of fantasy stories on. I get excited about their anthologies of retellings and ones that explore a specific subject. An era isn't a specific enough topic for me

TheAromaofBooks I struggle with anthologies. I'm reading one right now & it feels like it may never end lol 4y
AllisonM89 @TheAromaofBooks i tend to love or hate them. I generally love the ones that datlow/windling compile, but not this one.. 4y

Unfortunately this anthology is Not For Me. I wish it was otherwise. There were some good stories, but most of them felt like I had to force myself to read. I'm giving up at Mrs. Splitfoot. I was hoping for much more.... fairys/Magic and that just didn't happen. #anthology #library #victoriaera

I went to the gym even thought I was not feeling it. This is my reward. #anthology #gaslamp #icecream

#somethingforsept Gaslamp Fantasy is to Fantasy what Steampunk is to Science Fiction. Yes, it truly is that awesome and the title story will knock your socks off.
