Absolutely Avocados | 
Not book related but when you are tired of all the crappiness of the evening news it's nice to see a story like the one about this woman who found this 5.23 pound avocado on her morning walk on The Big Island. She's waiting to hear back from Guinness World Records to see if it's the world's largest. I just can't help thinking, "I wonder how many avocado toasts I could make from that thing?!?" ??? ?#avocadotoast

DebinHawaii @jfalkens She said it was good and it looked pretty normal cut open. I've had a giant one like that before--it's a different variety that gets 4-5 times larger than a haas--and it was pretty good. 🥑💚 @BarbaraJean @rubyslippersreads You know me well! 😋🥑 @mjdowens They had a picture of it cut open in the news & the pit looked the size of an entire normal avocado! 😲 @julesG Hah! DebinHawaii @No_One @SandyW Holy guacamole is right! 😆Regarding the found part, she says it was on the ground on the street outside a neighbor's yard which is a public area & makes it free for anyone to take.And people do. So far the news here has not mentioned the neighbor making a fuss or complaining. 🤔And there are some wild trees:plants of just about everything grown on Hawaii if you look. There are even urban/suburban foraging tours available. 7y

DebinHawaii @jfalkens Apparently you submit the paperwork, photos, weight measurement by an expert--in this case a local plant guy-/and they have so many people submitting entries for different records that it takes several weeks for their judges to make a ruling. Crazy! 😆 7y
