Mehso-so

I don't know if it was the result of listening to this one on audio (the narration was great, so it wasn't that), but I had a hard time staying interested in this one. I love off-planet stories, and this one wasn't bad, but the conflict just really didn't do anything for me. Decent but not great.

Reggie There‘s actually a sequel to this one and it goes in a totally different direction than you‘d think. Nothing stellar but I thought it was ok. 3y
Traci1 @Reggie I'll take a look at it. Thanks 😊 3y

Pickpick

The beginning of this book is the stuff of nightmares. We follow Liz Anderson as a scientist up on a Mars colony with the other 120 scientists split up by 4 regions from Earth. The U.S., Russia, China, and Eurasia. One night everything changes as they receive feed that many large cities have been nuked across the Earth. Can they come together to live or will they fall prey to the blame game. This was great and had all the elements of a great 👇🏼

Reggie sci-fi story, I just don‘t think they were all written cohesively and seamlessly together as they possibly could have been. 5y
Avanders I wonder what percentage of my Litsy TBR is comprised of “Books Reggie Reviewed”... not a small percentage ... 😁 5y

There is A LOT of science in this one so far and I‘m diggin it.

Texreader That‘s so cool 5y
JanuarieTimewalker13 Now I want to find out how long it takes for Mercury‘s tour around the sun! It‘s funny bc in astrology, they make a big deal about Mercury retrograding. I realize astrology is a pseudoscience, but sometimes it‘s right on. I guess everything is sometimes right on, however. Lol 5y
JanuarieTimewalker13 Ok, Mercury is only 88 days, so how can we see it retrograding? (edited) 5y

JanuarieTimewalker13 Thank you🌻 5y
JanuarieTimewalker13 Oh wow!! That was so cool!! Thank you! I like how she highlighted Capricorn at the end!! Lol somehow my brain checks out on stuff like this, but I‘m going to believe in optical illusions...once I stopped a police officer when I saw a contrail that was at a 90 degree angle to the earth. He said it was an optical illusion, I looked at him like he was nuts, but the guy was right (most likely), meanwhile I‘m thinking aliens or chemtrails. 5y

I'm really excited about this month's #24B4Monday #Readathon. I think I've talked my daughter into doing it with me. These are the books I've tentatively picked out. I also have a couple of True Blood graphics that may get added. My goal is the full 24 hours, but I've not managed that for the past several months, so we will see.

emz711 I had no idea they came out with monk books 6y
Traci1 @emz711 oh yeah there are quite a few. Most of them were written by Lee Goldberg (he's terrific). Hy Conrad wrote the last 5 or so. I've read all of them but this one. If you liked the show, the books are really good. 6y
Andrew65 I need to read the Monk books too. Good luck with the Readathon. Perhaps this is the month you will do 24 hours. 🤞😊👍 6y
