Many of you have watched my babies grow up so I might as well update everyone. This was the last run of Haiden‘s junior year. Next year banners will fly every race with his face to honor him and his fellow senior runners. Scholarships are coming in and my mommas heart is so sad and so proud. Slow down time. It‘s going too fast.

TheBookHippie @Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick you should see these moms in their 30s & 40s all dressed with snacks 🤷🏻‍♀️… I am in PJs I don‘t stay and also these are 14-18 year olds why are we feeding them after a run? I‘m not mom of the year 🤣 or a helicopter parent 🤦🏻‍♀️ 2y

TheBookHippie @Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick They are mostly horrified by me. Teachers too because I don‘t know who he eats lunch with or who his classmates are in a certain class, he tells me but I don‘t keep it as important info, nor do I have a clue what his homework is. Also he‘s a student athlete 4.0 GPA 🤷🏻‍♀️ He bikes most places and for weight training which horrifies them. This is too far to ride and then run 90 min so I drive him. 2y
Kelly_the_Bookish_Sidekick That sounds right to me, too, but I always was a bit of a rebel. 😎 I'm 100% certain my dad just smiled & nodded pretending to listen. Hell, I don't think he noticed that Walter the little league umpire was also Walter my boyfriend. 🤣 2y

September has not been a big reading month for me, because XC season is in full swing! I have spent 15+ hours at XC events in the last 4 days, as both my guys are running. Great day at yesterday's invite: senior got 6th in varsity 3s, freshman got 2nd in freshman 6/7s. Hilly 2-mile course with Agony Hill and an unusual race setup that I love (boys and girls mixed, each team's varsity 3s all run together, for example). Look at that enthusiasm lol!!
