Only have a little bit less than 2 hours left listening to this while I worked on some #crossstitch
Listening to this while enjoying some coffee, and #crocheting a granny stripe Afghan for my mom.
I did manage to finish this one over the weekend, the 6th book in a cozy-mystery series about a 50-ish American garden expert who has settled in England restoring gardens & solving mysteries. I'm a fan of Pru, the MC & her supporting characters-always full of quirky locals-but the mystery was a bit too easily solved for me & Pru a tad more scattered than usual. Still, it's good cozy fun & a fine addition to the series. 🌸🌳📚Tagging Book 1👇🏻
I did leave my introverting today & break my rule of no retail on Thanksgiving &/or Black Friday to make a dash to Ben Franklin Crafts for their Thanksgiving Day "B.Y.O. Bag" & get 30% off the entire purchase. I swung through SBUX drive thru & got there 15 minutes before opening, planning on reading but the line to get in was forming so I left my drink & jumped in. Crafters are ?! But 90 minutes door to door & I have #bookmarkswap supplies.??
Getting back to my current cozy mystery & getting cozy because it's 68 degrees F. tonight & below 70 is considered 'chilly' here--at least by the weather people.😆 So socks, a light blanket & a bowl of popcorn to nosh on & maybe a cup of tea later--and a viewing of Planes, Trains & Automobile--November's film pick for the movie/food blogging event I take part in. A good Saturday night. 📚🍿🎬
Day 14 #emojinov #🇬🇧Back home after a meeting & library stop & now having a lunch break with a big bowl of Sunday's 'chicken' noodle soup (made vegan with jackfruit-still tastes like childhood!)😋🍲Squeezing in a few chapters of the latest in this cozy mystery series set in Britain. The MC is a 50-ish American gardener who is now living & working in estate gardens in the English countryside. Links to 1st book & her other 🇬🇧-set cozy series👇🏻
It's Wednesday so it must be 'avocado toast with spicy garlic aioli breakfast at the coffeeshop day.' It's 74 degrees F. & drizzly at the moment, which qualifies as 'slightly chilly' in Hawaii 😆so I replaced my usual cold brew with a press of local coffee. Reading a bit more of this cozy mystery before starting some work projects. Hope your 🐪 day is going well.
It's Friday! Starting the morning with my usual Friday, Acai bowl breakfast & a press of Maui Mocca Peaberry coffee & a bit of the newest book in this gardening cozy mystery series I enjoy. Looking forward to #litsypartyofone tonight--after I get some work done. It's a good afternoon/evening to hole up at home as the big 🍊menace is making a visit on his way to Asia.🙄🤢😖Hopefully North Korea won't take any opportunities while he's in town...😱
