Enjoying listening to the second book in this series. Instead of reading it I found this series is better to listen to it because of the hilarious scenes in it. Haven‘t gotten that far yet and don‘t even know who is murdered yet. So have quite a ways to go.

We are driving down to decorate at cemeteries today. Going to three different cemeteries all in different counties about all an hour apart. Since we are meeting up with other family members to decorate, will only listen to the audiobook for about two hrs. Going to be heat advisories here today, no matter what your doing today I hope everyone can stay cool.

Normally, I do not have this many book hauls in this quick span of time, but who can bypass #halfpricebooks that are only $1-4?! Only thing better than a #bookhaul is if you also have #yarnhaul on the same day. 😍👍🏻

I ended up listening to this by audio book and thought it was the better than reading it. The cat called Nick is hilarious in his mannerisms and if your not a cat love this might not be for you. The cat is involved quite a bit in the story. So I thought the story itself was pretty good, had several different twists and multiple stories. Can‘t wait to listen to the next book!

Made with Love | Tricia Goyer, Sherry Gore
Pickpick

I thought overall this book was good but predictable (which doesn't come as a surprise for this genre). It spent quite a bit of time about dreams that people have, patience of trying to achieve them, and how some may not appreciate it. I thought that part was pretty good. It did have a lot more religion than some books in this genre. It does lists recipes at the end of some chapters.

I thought this book was just ok. The ending I thought was a little unbelievable in the sense it didn't mesh with what was said previously about the owner and the relationship to their horse.

Pickpick

This book I think was the best so far in the series. Although, some in the end might be a tad let down in one respect (you will know what I am talking about after reading this book, no spoilers). Towards the end it had more of a twist than I was expecting.

The Outsiders | S. E. Hinton

This is one of my fav books, I have read this more than any other book, probably 50 times, seen both versions of the movie about 20, and listened to the audiobook about ten. Started rereading this during #boutofbooks but didn't finish it. I will continue reading it for my #classicsclubchallenge

I am surprised that any letters from Henry VIII have survived at all. This was interesting and even though dates were not given on the letters, you will get a rough idea of when they were written by some of the events mentioned in them. There are notes for others who may not know. At the end of that information is the only surviving letter from Anne to Henry. It is a quick read only about 50 pages. #boutofbooks

The Healing Quilt | Wanda E. Brunstetter

This is the third book in the series. Normally I love books by Wanda but this series had quite a few issues. It was highly predictable, felt just like the previous book, too many characters from the previous books made a few appearances. It seemed that too much focus was on certain characters and not enough on others. It seemed too preachy, more so than Wanda's other books. Only 2 out of 5 stars for me. #boutofbooks

Shunned and Dangerous | Laura Bradford
Pickpick

I wasn't sure who the killer was and had my suspicions about a person either they were the killer or knew who it was. It turned out that wasn't quite accurate. This was an enjoyable read. I wish the main character could marry one person in particular but it doesn't appear that will happen, which is probably more realistic anyways. One can hope in future books though.

Crops and Robbers | Paige Shelton
Pickpick

For some reason it does take the main character Becca a little while to start investigating a murder that happens on her own property (this isn't a spoiler since it is in the description of the book). I liked that and didn't like that, as I felt it was slow but at the same time it showed that in reality it takes time to figure it out. I think sometimes #cozymysteries are too fast paced. This one kept me guessing, a great read. Onto the next book!

I liked this book there are a few new characters as well as old ones, some you will like and others not so much. I felt though the ending was rushed, and wish the romantic part of her relationship would already be decided as I think it is getting a little tedious to me anyways.

I listened to the audiobook and have to say after listening so far to three books this one was just meh. I didn't particularly care for any of the new characters she met. I felt the end of the story dragged on with the wedding but than the actual wedding was a little too fast. I do plan on listening to the next book though.

Listening to the audiobook. So far only on the first chapter. In regards to any self-help type books I usually not agree with everything an author says, but find at least some good tips. I think though sometimes people expect too much from self-help books and thank if a book isn't a miracle in their life then that it isn't any good. Hope I find some good tips and they usually make me think more inward about my thoughts, actions and feelings.

I thought I was going to really like this book, however it had quite a few issues that I don't think can be overlooked. I should have never read the prologue, as what happens in it is never mentioned again, which you assume it would even at the end of the book. It isn't until almost the middle of the book that you get to her adulthood. It spends way too much time in her childhood, and need to be a longer book and more in depth.

I would have given this a better rating but it took so long to get into it. I think Becca is mismatched with the wrong guy. This book wasn't as good as the first. I do find it weird though that her sister doesn't help that much in Becca's sleuthing.
