I finished the #BacklistReadathon with this 9th book from the October Daye series, which seems to get better with every subsequent book. Toby goes to another Faerie kingdom to try to prevent a war and in doing so, learns surprising secrets about her alchemist friend Walther.

Finished The Winter Long, now on to Book 9 A Red Rose Chain❣️♥️💋

Almost done. I'm so happy to be curled up with a cat and a quilt with this book in my hands today.

And with completion of this book I met my Goodreads challenge for the year...and it's still October! Guess I should have been more ambitious when I set my goal! 😜

Returning to the Toby Daye series for my next read!

A strong addition to a fantastic series. At book #9 this series shows no signs of slowing down.

Holy crap, this was an amazing book. I love the October Daye series; with each new title in the series, Seanan McGuire gets better and better. This is some of the strongest world-building you'll ever find in an urban fantasy, and characters you'll never want to leave. Just wonderful!
