First book I‘ve read by this author. Really enjoyed the writing style and some of the tension she kept going but didn‘t really enjoy the theme of the book - a cult.
Overall would give it 3.5 stars out of 5, but would have been more but for the theme. Will try others by this author.

3rd book finished for #20in4.

Just finished The Accident by #CLTaylor and really enjoyed it. Thought I‘d jump straight in with another one of her books. #TheLie.

Everyone of these books is full of suspense, fast paced thrilling action. (the escape, the accident, the fear, the lie, the missing, the treatment) ALL FAB! Love when you feel like you can just sit back and get lost in a book but that‘s truly the case with these!! Most of them I didn‘t want to end!! Just finished reading the missing which has sat on my kindle for a while but just never got round to it. Would say it wasn‘t as good as the others...

I read this as an audiobook a while back - before I used Litsy all the time - but I absolutely loved this book. C.L. Taylor did a fantastic job of building suspence as she flipped between the past and the present. The reader knows something isn't quite right but she leaves you on the edge without letting you know what is really happening.
A fast-paced, gut-wrenching thriller that you will not regret reading.

Audiobook: 12 hrs, but felt longer.

Story alternates between current day Jane being pursued by someone who knows The Truth & flashbacks to Jane as Emma on a deadly vacation with 3 close friends. I kept thinking there was going to be a mind-blowing twist. Read through weird cult sex slave details. Kept reading even though some of the women are shallow stereotypes of the backstabber. Just when I thought I'd get my twist reward, disappointment.

I've been sporadically listening to this mystery/thriller around the house. I've been liking it, but things just got real! There's a little over an hour left...🙊🙊🙊

Plot based, fast paced, didn't really like any of the characters but don't think that's essential for the book. An ok read by the pool.

I'm happy to learn that I really enjoy the thriller genre, but this example of that genre is interfering with my ability to make dinner for my family.
