For the next few weeks nothing attempted to kill Arlo Finch, which was frustrating because he was really prepared.
**
Arlo would never admit it but he was growing a little disappointed in whatever forces had conspired to kill him. He could see it in his friends faces too. Every morning they were happy to see him but also a little surprised.

Wonderful middle schooler book with quirky Heroes and great suspense.

I can't believe I took so long to get around to reading this. It's tremendously awesome. I think this series will be super popular with MG readers. Creative, exciting, just fun.

It only took me like 4 hours to read this book!

This book was so adorable! The team-ness and kids-seeing-monsters-ness and the Rangers and the family...was just so sweet! I'll definitely read the next one!

Valeka Have you listened to his podcast about his journey creating the book? So interesting to listen to with lots of information about the publishing process. It‘s called “Launch” if you‘re interested!! 6y
SassenachTheBookWizard @Valeka no, I haven't! I'll have to take a look 6y

Heard this author, John August, interviewed on “What Should I Read Next” podcast. He is about to release the above referenced middle grade book and is doing the podcast “Launch” about his process in writing it. I gave it a try, and it is SO informative and interesting. He speaks of his whole experience from creating a title, to making a cover, and visiting the printer. He explains it all and we go through it with him, learning as it happens-love!

Little_Reader I‘ve been listening, too! So interesting! 6y
