Claudia and Mean Janine: Full Color Edition (the Baby-Sitters Graphix #4)
Claudia and Mean Janine: Full Color Edition (the Baby-Sitters Graphix #4): Full Color Edition | M. Martin Ann
11 posts | 25 read | 3 to read
Claudia and her sister, Janine, may as well be from two different planets. Claudia, who pays more attention to her artwork and The Baby-sitters Club than her homework, feels like she can't compete with her perfect sister. Janine studies nonstop, gets straight As, and even takes college-level courses! But when something unexpected happens to the most beloved person in their family, will the sisters be able to put aside their differences? Raina Telgemeier, using the signature style featured in her acclaimed graphic novels Smile and Sisters, perfectly captures all the drama and charm of the original novel!

#AuldLangReads Day 23: Claudia and “Mean Janine” clearly have a #ComplicatedRelationship as sisters. I raced through this graphic novel in a few hours – and found myself moved slightly to tears somewhere in the end. I would predict that these comic version of BabySitters Club will be considered as classics and comfort reads by this generation. Beautifully executed. My review: https://wp.me/pDlzr-k9v

Cute read! I didn‘t read these as a kid-I was a Sweet Valley Twins fan. I will definitely be adding these to my classroom library. They deal with real life issues and Raina Telgemeire‘s illustrations are fantastic.

I‘ve become Buzzfeed famous! A friend of mine alerted me that they‘ve captured one of my tweets in this list! I‘m #19. https://www.buzzfeed.com/jenniferabidor/27-tweets-about-books-only-90s-and-00s-g...

MeganAnn Fun! Also, I would buy that book too! 😆 Claudia was my favorite. 6y
Clare-Dragonfly OMG. I made a BSC joke at work yesterday and my teammate (3 years younger than me) got it but my coworkers (15-20 years older than me) were so confused 😂 6y

This one was really good, focusing more on family and why it means to be there for one another, especially when something happens to a loved one.

4⭐️ There is something so timeless and so fresh about this series and I could read all volumes over again in graphic format. In volume four we learn more about Claudia. She is the artist of the family, while her sister is the brain. They do not get along, until they have to band together to help their Mimi.

As a kid, I wanted to be like the girls in BSC. As a mom, nothing can be better than a great babysitter. 😆

On the plate: gluten-free whole grain pancakes, Imladris Farm Berry Best Jam, and 🍓with a drizzle of honey.

Who is 40 years old and has read every Babysitters Club graphic novel? THIS GIRL. This one has MIMI, though, y'all. Everyone needs a Mimi.

Did I squeal when I saw this on the library reserve shelf? You better believe it! Claudia is my favourite babysitter. In this one, Mimi has a stroke and Claudia and Janine try to find some common ground... plus usual BSC antics and snacks! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I don't care how old I am these Baby-Sitter Club books are the best!!! I forgot how much I loved them until I read them in graphic novel form. I hope there are a million more of them! This book reminded me how lucky I am to have a sister, they are the best.
