A great 3rd book - and a great message about just being happy in your own skin and not being bothered by anyone else. It was also a good seasonal book and made for a quick, yet enjoyable, read.

A spooky graphic novel for Halloween! It was a very interesting read, learning about who Emily was and what her real motives are in the real world. Anya was awesome at standing up to her ghost and solving the real case of what happened with Emily.

I really liked this children‘s book version of Sleepy Hollow, Ichabod Crane, and the Headless Horseman. The illustrations were very nice and I love making this a tradition around this time of year (I listened to the audiobook last Halloween, which is narrated by Tom Mison - Ichabod Crane from the Sleepy Hollow tv series). I even watched the old Ichabod Crane movie to add to the fun of it all 🎃🐎

I really loved this book! Great first novel by David Yoon! I was laughing and crying and feeling all of the emotions during Frank‘s journey throughout this book. Q is the best best friend anyone could have, Joy and Frank together are hilarious (along with the Apeys and Limbos), and if you‘re also looking for a great narration of this story, try out the audiobook as well!

Wow, what a powerful book depicted in illustrations. Reading this reminded me a lot of reading “Thirteen Reasons Why.” It also serves to be a book that I need to read vs. just reading the graphic novel. I am so glad that Melinda stood up to her attacker and was able to make the perfect tree for her art class. Finding her voice was hard to do, but she found it and is a force to reckon with. A must-read!

I really liked this version/retelling of Cinderella, told through a cyborg‘s perspective. I noticed some similarities between the 2 stories and it kept me engaged the entire time. Now, I need to read book #2 to know what happens next!

I really liked the 2 stories of a mermaid and P.T. Barnum meshed together. I was swept up in a wonderful fantasy of mermaids, performances, and romance ❤️ I felt so sad for Amelia during the hard times, but she stayed true to herself and did what was right. Great start to my Christina Henry obsession!

Best. Fall. GN. Ever.

I love Josie and Deja‘s work relationship and how Deja doesn‘t give up in helping make Josie‘s last night at the patch memorable. They go on many adventures, venturing through the pumpkin patch (which sounds like the best in the world), eating all of the best seasonal food, and looking for love. This was such a great read and I would recommend it to everyone!

This was just ok - it jumped all over the place, and some parts confused me (as they looked like flashbacks, but went straight back to present day), but it was overall an ok representation of some of my favorite childhood book/movie characters. It was kind of neat that these characters were a little older and got to travel back to their worlds and into the other worlds as well.

(4.5/5) ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I was pleasantly surprised with how much I enjoyed this book. I loved Eleanor‘s quirkiness, her way of doing things, and her friendship with Raymond. What happened to her and her family when she was younger was really sad, but as the book developed, so did her courage to move past it all and make a better life for herself. A good read that kept me wanting to find out more with every chapter.

Omg, I flew through this book in one setting!! I loved it!

It combined many subjects, such as moving to a new town, Cystic Fibrosis, and Día de los Muertos (reminded me a little bit as a cross between the book, “Five Feet Apart” and the movie, “Coco”).

I highly recommend this to any age and give praise to Raina for another great GN ?

What a great reread! It took some time to finish, but it was well worth it! It‘s amazing what you forget from the first time reading, but it‘s sort of like reading it for the first time again and I love that special feeling. Even though this reread brought back some sad memories from the first read, it also makes more intriguing to just keep going! On to the sixth novel! 😬😬

A good story for the summer reading theme, “A Universe of Stories” ☺️ I really like movie and never realized that this one could be a book too, so I decided to read it (since I read Jumanji and this stems off of that book). Obviously has some different scenarios than what was showcased in the movie, but what bummed me out was that the boys didn‘t even get to say “Zathura” to end the game. Can‘t always be same, I know.

I‘m so glad to have finally had the chance to read this and now I‘m excited to recommend it to anyone else who hasn‘t picked it up yet.
