Okay, Littens, a mystery to solve that may, in fact, be unsolvable haha My husband remembers reading, in the late 70s, a series of scifi books that were probably for younger readers, but he may have actually stolen from the adult/YA section 😂 All he can remember is that they were about aliens on the moon who were going to blow up the earth and sent someone to reconnoiter and the books were this person going back & forth. Any thoughts???

keys_on_fire I didn‘t read these, but I did a little searching cuz this question intrigued me. Is it the Space Pirate series by Henry Bamman? The link is to the first book, but you can see the whole series too. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/4601432 2y
myellenbee I'd be interested to read something like that. 2y
Ruthiella @swynn @RamsFan1963 Do either of you have any idea? You both read a lot of older sci-fi. 🤔 2y

TheAromaofBooks @keys_on_fire - Thank you for your suggestion!! Tom says he doesn't think those are the ones, though. He says they were “regular“ chapter books (not necessarily MG, apparently) and didn't have pictures. He's very vague on the details 😂 Memory is such a weird thing!! 2y
swynn Sorry, I don't recognize this. Although I'm curious, and hope somebody else does! 2y
TheAromaofBooks @swynn - It was a shot in the dark at best 😂 I told Tom he's going to have to try to remember SOMETHING specific LOL 2y
swynn @TheAromaofBooks Well, I did think of something that is almost certainly wrong, because the books are illustrated and I don't remember any plans to blow up the earth. But if he happens to be misremembering some details, then the series could be Jerome Beatty Jr.'s Matthew Looney series, which moon-people who visit Earth. 2y

So many wonderful goodies! Espresso candy, Valhalla coffee, 4 books...Sleeping Giants, Yarrow, the Red Rising HC graphic novel and a sweet scifi coffee table book chronicling the greatest scifi hits through the ages. 🤸‍♂️🤸‍♂️

Also some notepads, stickers, and patches! 🤗

Thank you Sooooo much @Avanders! A wonderful & very thoughtful package! ❤️

GrilledCheeseSamurai Also included (obviously) was the book for the actual #SFMBC read, but I hid it in the pile so as to not spoil it for the person I'll be sending it along to when I'm done reading it. 🙃 6y
