Always Never Yours
Always Never Yours | Austin Siegemund-Broka, Emily Wibberley
"An utterly charming story of love, family, heartbreak, and drama. I absolutely loved it!"--Morgan Matson, New York Times bestselling author of Since You've Been GoneMegan Harper is the girl before. All her exes find their one true love right after dating her. It's not a curse or anything, it's just the way things are. and Megan refuses to waste time feeling sorry for herself. Instead, she focuses on pursuing her next fling, directing theater, and fulfilling her dream school's acting requirement in the smallest role possible. But her plans quickly crumble when she's cast as none other than Juliet--yes, that Juliet--in her high school's production. It's a nightmare. No--a disaster. Megan's not an actress and she's certainly not a Juliet. Then she meets Owen Okita, an aspiring playwright who agrees to help Megan catch the eye of a sexy stagehand in exchange for help writing his new script. Between rehearsals and contending with her divided family, Megan begins to notice Owen--thoughtful, unconventional, and utterly unlike her exes, and wonders: shouldn't a girl get to play the lead in her own love story?

My feelings about this book are complicated. I didn't care for the characters in the first half. I was honestly annoyed with all of them throughout the book. It had a fairly simple storyline, and it only half appealed to me. I didn't particularly care for it. However, it had some touching moments. And it was those moments that really made the book worth it. I wish we had more of them.

I really loved this book. It's sweet and sassy and funny and full of theater kid drama.

It‘s a book about a girl named Megan who is her schools flirt, she dates a lot of guys, but right after they break up the guy always finds his true love. For Megan to get into her dream school to direct plays she needs to have acted in at least one play so she auditions for a small part in her schools play Romeo and Juliet and ends up getting the part of Juliet. Her ex Tyler gets the part of Romeo. This is a great story about romance.

MrsBabki Sounds like a good one! 5y

I‘m not sure if I liked this one but I finished it in 24 hours so three stars I guess? I liked the storyline, the progression, the conclusion, but couldn‘t connect with the writing. It wasn‘t bad just not for me. Also, I had some timeline questions which always pull me out of the story.

From the blurbs and GR reviews I read, my opinion is unpopular so 🤷🏻‍♀️. Also, the cover is gorgeous even if it has little to do with the story.

MarriedtoMrT Also, someone who has read this, can we discuss the whole Madeline thing? 7y
mdemanatee I was lukewarm on this one too. And have already forgotten a lot. Like, when you say the Madeline thing it doesn‘t pop right up for me 😬 7y
mdemanatee Wait was that the friend? 7y
MarriedtoMrT @mdemanatee Yes! I‘m all for “no one is perfect” and forgiving people but just because you forgive doesn‘t mean everything immediately goes back to all ok and I thought what her friend did then lied about was really shitty. 7y
mdemanatee @MarriedtoMrT Yes! And then not giving her enough space and not fully acknowledging what she did. Also that guy was a capital-T-Tool 7y

This story is about a girl playing Juliet in a play. I felt awful for the character. She would have a new boyfriend often and they would meet the right person after her every time. She was losing faith in herself. She didn't have any confidence that she could play Juliet because she is a director for plays not a actor. It was a sweet romance. #litsy #booklover #kindle #kindlefire #paperwhite

Picked this one up mainly for the super cute cover (got serious Jenny Han vibes from it) and really like it. Megan is always the girl before. Everyone of her ten boyfriends has moved on to his soul mate after dating her. Labeled the class flirt until she is forced to look at what she wants and that her feelings matter. Sex positive, no slut shaming and shockingly self aware would recommend but I wished had developed her family more

Okay #unpopularopinion time. I did not like this one 🤨 ... full review on my blog (link in profile) if you‘re interested why but the bottom line is that I wasn‘t a fan of how relationships were portrayed among the young people. #sorrynotsorry

I‘m bummed because I really think this one had promise 🤷‍♀️

Megan is in high school and has had a couple of boyfriends. Just when she thinks things are going good her boyfriend breaks up with her and starts dating someone else and falls in love with them. She doesn't know what is a matter. Why doesn't anyone fall in love with her? When she lands the role of Juliet in the school play she becomes very good friends with Owen. She starts to have feeling for him. Is he the one for her? 👇🏻👇🏻👇🏻

Lovesbooks87 This was my five book in the #13inthree and the 4th book I completed! I also completed the 13 hours!! Thanks @Samplergal for putting this together. It was a lot of fun! 7y
