A fun romance read. Definitely didn‘t love this one as much as the first (it always takes me a moment to adjust when the narrator changes). There were many times I wanted to yell at the characters for being idiots, but sometimes that makes a great book.

Nonononononononoyesnonononono. I couldn‘t read this book before bed and if I did, I had to watch some happy show like Lizzie McGuire (thanks Disney+). So many twists and turns. I hated it, but loved it. It was terrifyingly good. Can‘t wait to discuss with my book club.

Kappadeemom I just finished it and loved it! I am thinking Marcia Cross should play Millicent in the movie. 2w

Saturday #bookreport. I‘ve been a little MIA from Litsy these past couple of weeks with work and general life stuff, but I‘m jumping back in today. I finished the Vampire Hunter book. It was good, not great. I do love books that take fiction and twist real life events into the unimaginable. My Lovely Wife is scarring the pants off me. I can‘t read it before bed. Twisted is my audiobook that is fun, light and drama filled to offset the others.

Cinfhen Welcome back!!! I LOVED my 2w

Fun, fun, fun. I‘ve actually read this one before but it‘s been a long time and I didn‘t realize it was part of a series. Am enjoyable listen if you can handle cuss words and inappropriate bedroom talks.

Woah. I couldn‘t put this one down because I just had to know how it was going to end. A little predictable at times and I wish the ending would have been a little more satisfying, but overall, it was a good, fast-paced read. I did like that the chapters flipped back and forth between present and past and by the end what was originally the present became the past.

My #weeklyforecast plus my Halloween cat. The tagged book is my current audiobook. Abraham Lincoln has been on my tbr forever and just happened to be on display at the library, so I thought with Halloween being this week, it was time to read it. I‘m hoping to get to Night Film (another #newyearwhodis book) but may not make it this week. While not on a display, it managed to catch my eye as I was walking to another section of the library.

Finished this one while drinking my coffee this morning. I read this book slowly as instructed by my brother in law and I‘m glad I did. It definitely opens your mind to thinking differently. I‘ve made some good notes and hope to make some small changes to lead a less stressful life. The only compliant I have is the last chapter. I feel that it was put in just because the book needed an ending. I don‘t feel it added much value.

I think I managed to hate every character in this book at one point. With that being said, I still enjoyed it. It‘s an easy read (or easy listen) and just like I imagined it to be. A little predictable, but that doesn‘t mean it‘s a bad book. I‘m definitely glad I read it. It‘s been on my tbr for years.

#unpopularopinion and I think it was because I tried the audiobook first. The narrator made Sunny so whiny (which I think she might be but not to the extent the narrator made her out to be.) Also, the audiobook doesn‘t tell you that at the end of the chapters, you‘re reading excerpts from another book in this world. I felt confused and when I received the ebook, I only made it about halfway through before bailing.

Laughterhp I definitely struggled while reading this book. I had to keep reminding myself it was middle grade. 2mo

I am thankful to my new book club for opening me up to a masterpiece. I haven‘t read anything by the author before, but he has such a way of words that it was so hard not to feel like you were in the story. There were some hard parts to read, but I felt the ending fit the book. It also satisfies the last prompt for #booked2019 for me #pocmcparanormal. Hiram has a power that is core to the book, but it‘s not understood until almost the end.

Scochrane26 I haven‘t read this one yet but have read 2 nonfiction books by him. They blew my mind & educated me about race. He also wrote the new black panther comics. 2mo

Finished book four of my re-read. It took me so long, I‘ve managed to lose the dust cover. It‘s still an amazing book. So full of details and life. My hope is to have book five read before the end of the year in preparation of season five of the show coming out in February. In my original read of the series, I only made it through book six, so here‘s to a few more re-reads then on to new to me ones!

Another great one by Taylor Jenkins Reid. I think she may now be one of my favorites. I loved the format of this book. The interview style wasn‘t something I‘ve read before and it was perfect. I didn‘t grow up in the 70s, but my parents are avid fans of classic rock n roll, so, therefore, I am too. This is listed as a romance, but I feel like it‘s much more than that. This book is much more emotional than I usually read. It‘s a #soldiersstory, plus has a character that has muscular dystrophy and one that is being abused. I liked the way the story began before the solider went to war, spent a little time with him during the war and then mostly focused on the aftermath and dealing with tragedy. #booked2019
